Wellness Grants
The Community Health Board is looking for project proposals that promote healthful lifestyles in our communities. Both new and existing programs are eligible for funding and the maximum request amount is $3,000.00.
Funding may be approved by the Board for all, or part, of the amount requested.
Organizations applying must be non-profit. Any group applying must be able to receive, handle, and keep record of money, and provide a final report on the progress of the project.
Finally, funding cannot be spent to operate programs that diagnose, treat, or rehabilitate health problems. The focus is on health promotion, healthy lifestyles, and disease prevention.
The 2009 deadline for grant applications is Tuesday, October 20th. Mailed applications must be postmarked on or before that date. You may also email or fax an application. However, if you use the fax, please call the CHB office in advance. Thank you!
